What’s sparking the surge of high-profile single strategy hedge fund launches in 2024?
Jon Caplis recently shared some thoughts with Carolina Mandl of Reuters about the shift towards single strategy funds from the established multi-strat funds in which they hail. “Many of these people have done extremely well and may be looking for something more independent”.
So far this year, our research is already tracking 40 planned high-profile launches – compared to 26 that were expected at this time in 2023.
